On Season 15 of The Voice, the Blind Auditions have come to an end and the Battle Round begins on Monday, October 15. Jennifer Hudson has a tough to decision to make when she pits Colton Smith against Patrique Fortson. Together they sing the Blake Shelton song “God Gave Me You.” The song, which was written by Christian rocker Dave Barnes, is on Blake’s sixth studio album, Red River Blue. Barnes wrote the song for his wife.

If you think Blake looks a little sad while listening to the Battle performance, you’re not alone. It could be stirring up some old feelings for the charming country star. According to an interview with The Boot, Shelton said he first heard the song while going through “a difficult patch in his relationship with Miranda Lambert, before they married.” They did get married in 2011, but divorced four years later in 2015. Shelton is now in a relationship with former Voice coach Gwen Stefani. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 pm on NBC.
