The cast of Roseanne, which returned on ABC earlier this year, has gone through a lot. The creator and star of the show, Roseanne Barr, was famously fired from the show for some insensitive social media activity. But now the rest of the cast is coming together for The Conners, which premieres on Tuesday, October 16. How the writers will explain Roseanne’s disappearance from the show is a top TV secret — but a character portrayed by Mary Steenburgen shows up at The Connors front door and she’s pointing her finger at Roseanne’s husband Dan (John Goodman). “Don’t you try to put this off on me!” he says angrily.
