Kennedy High School is the setting of the Lifetime movie The Wrong Friend. When one of the students, Riley (Li Eubanks), meets the new boy Chris (Jared Scott), she’s charmed by him. But then she sees another side of him (he’s creepy obsessed with her) that has her running the other way. You’d think she’d get the support of Principal Atkins (Vivica A. Fox), but the principal thinks Chris deserves a second chance. Maybe her teacher, Mrs. Nelson will help Riley find out what it is that Chris really wants.
Mrs. Nelson is portrayed by Tracy Nelson. The daughter of singer Ricky Nelson and Kristin Harmon, Nelson is known for her roles on Melrose Place (Meredith Parker), A League of Their Own (Evelyn Gardner), Father Dowling Mysteries (Sister Steve), and Square Pegs (Jennifer DiNuccio, see link above), among others. As a child actor, she made her big screen debut in the 1968 film Yours, Mine and Ours with Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda. She played one of their 18 children. The Wrong Friend premieres on Lifetime Movies on Friday, September 14 at 8pm.
