Host Jeff Probst and the dedicated camera crews of Survivor are back on the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji for Season 37. This year, the 20 new castaways are divided into two tribes: It’s “Davids” vs. “Goliaths.” The “Davids” are the underdogs (nerdy scientist, public defender, truck driver, waitress) while the Goliaths are assumed to win (pro wrestlers, SWAT officer, Hollywood movie star). While America watches all 20 strangers struggle to survive on the island, Probst and his Survivor producers are already casting for Seasons 39 and 40 of Survivor. Season 39 will start shooting in March 2019; Season 40 in July 2019.

On Twitter, Probst recently sat down with five Survivor casting directors. One of them broke down what she’s looking for in an audition in 6 words: authentic, genuine, no skits, no gimmicks. Don’t be fooled into thinking they’re impressed with flashy, edited video auditions. “You could be in the kitchen or playing in the backyard with your kids,” says another, “We just want to know who you are. Don’t make a script.” See link below for their Twitter addresses. Here’s the link to submit an application. Survivor airs Wednesdays at 8pm on CBS.
