On the conclusion of The Real Housewives of New York City reunion (September 5), when Tinsley Mortimer describes her “loyal” friend Carole Radziwill as a “girlie girl, a girl’s girl,” Radziwill curls her lip with disapproval. (See video below; at :05 mark.) Bethenny Frankel gives a bemused smile as Tinsley goes on about how she’s gotten closer to Carole over the past year. However, Carole is quick to tell everyone, “We don’t see each other that much.” When host Andy Cohen asks Carole, “Why, are you not as close?” Carole says, “No, Bethenny made it seem like we were BFFs, thick as thieves, but we weren’t and we never were.” Tinsley interrupts Carole to say, “You know that hurts my feelings,” but Carole proclaims, “I know, but I’m going to be truthful.” Dorinda Medley, who’s sitting in between Carole and Tinsley on the same sofa tells Carole, “You’re not trying to be mean; it was a developing friendship.”
When Bethenny finally speaks up and points out that Carole and Tinsley traveled to three different countries together outside of the show, Carole’s voice gets defensive. “Tinsley and I spent six days together in Spain with our boyfriends. And after that, I never saw her.” The Real Housewives of New York City airs Wednesdays at 8pm on Bravo.
