On the Season 10 premiere episode of Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta, new bridal consultant Becca took on her first bride, and with only two weeks of training! It was rough at first. Her bride, Lindsey Morgan, brought her mother and her future sister-in-law who were both very vocal and often clashed. Becca decided to have Lindsey try on a plunging neckline first (the sister-in-law’s pick). Lindsey’s mother said, “I’m insulted.” With a nervous laugh, Becca told the camera: “First bride, first dress, and I’m just failing miserably right out of the gate.” Lindsey’s mother walked her daughter back into the dressing room to take it off, that’s how pissed off she was.
The good news is that wasn’t a deal breaker for Becca. She eventually found the perfect dress for Lindsey. On the episode “I’m Out of My Comfort Zone,” Becca gets to help Navy veteran Joan find a dress for her big day. When they meet, Joan tells Becca that she is a Navy veteran who was injured during deployment (head injury, loss of vision in her left eye). Becca is so graceful in the moment (see exclusive video above). Becca first thanks Joan, “Well, thank you so much for your service,” which makes Joan smile. Becca says, “I just want Joan to walk out feeling amazing because that’s what she deserves.” Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta airs Saturdays at 8pm on TLC, right before Four Weddings.
