The new ABC reality survival show Castaways keeps tabs on 12 individuals who are deserted along islands in Indonesia. They’re not together — they’re alone. At least at the beginning. They don’t know where the other castaways are or how many there are. Each of the 12 individuals will either survive until the rescue team arrives or they’ll quit. One of the castaways is 25-year-old Krichelle Kerbow from Haiku, Hawaii.

After filming Castaways, Krichelle continues to write for her blog You Beautiful Woman You. The tagline is “Growing Into Feminine Freedom.” On the blog, Krichelle writes about her anxiety and how it affects everyone she has a relationship with, especially her partner. She hasn’t been diagnosed with anxiety because as she writes “I don’t have health insurance and I tend to spend my money on travelling around the world (not responsible I know).” Over the years, Krichelle says what helps her depression is nature. “I need to be alone in the woods, hiking, shooting bow, swimming in the ocean, getting quality time with mama nature.” However, sometimes being alone with nature has also “given me mass anxiety” which Krichelle says is “truly heartbreaking.” At those times, she says “I feel like pleasure has been ripped from my life.” Castaways airs Tuesdays at 10pm on ABC.
