There are two memorable stand-up comedians competing on Season 13 of America’s Got Talent. And they’re both over 50. Vicki Barbolak is the 58-year-old three-times married stand-up who reminds many of Roseanne Barr, before the Roseanne reboot fiasco, when she used to do stand-up. The other is 68-year-old Andy Huggins. The white-haired senior citizen from Houston, Texas tells jokes about being old and how it affects his sleep and sex, among other things. This isn’t Andy’s first time on stage. Huggins has been doing stand-up comedy for the past 40 years, and the past 30 years he’s been doing it sober. He jokes about his intoxicated days, too. After Huggins’ AGT audition, 62-year-old Howie Mandel recognized Huggins and realized that a lifetime ago they shared the same stage — about 28 years ago in LA. Huggins got a yes from Mandel, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell, which is all he needed to advance. New episodes of America’s Got Talent air Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC, right before World of Dance.
