Most of the kids who appear on the talent show Little Big Shots are not professionals. In the Season 3 episode “Little Ninja Warrior,” the 6-year-old ninja warrior Lylah MacCall runs obstacles courses because it’s fun and she’s good at it. But 8-year-old voiceover artist Nev Scharrel is a professional. Meaning, she gets paid to provide the voice of animated characters including Agnes in the 2017 box office hit, Despicable Me 3. (It grossed more than $1 billion worldwide.)

Agnes Gru (voiceover artist Nev Scharrel) in Despicable Me 3 is the adopted daughter of Felonious Gru (Steve Carrell) and Lucy Wilde (Kristen Wiig). She’s the eldest of three girls — the dark-haired girl with the erect ponytail who’s usually wearing denim overalls and dreaming of unicorns. See clip below. Little Big Shots airs Thursdays at 8pm on NBC.
