In the Blue Bloods episode “The Devil You Know,” Commissioner Reagan (Tom Selleck) tries to get a data-tracking company to unlock the phone of a terrorist. Meanwhile, ADA Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynihan) gets sandbagged by a priest. When she agreed to meet Father Denby (Kris Arnold), she didn’t know she was going to meet John Romano who claims to have information about a murder that’s about to go down. NYPD Detective Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) warns his sister not to trust Romano and reminds her that he arrested Romano’s kid who “incidentally is a scumbag just like his father,” says Danny. While Erin admits not all informants are choir boys it is her job to hear him out.
Informant John Romano is portrayed by John Pankow. Pankow is known for his roles on on Episodes (Merc Lapidus), Madam Secretary (Glenn), Mad About You (Ira Buchanan), The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd (Ron Luchesse), and in the films The Object of My Affection (Jennifer Aniston’s boyfriend Vince), The Secret of My Succe$s (Fred Melrose), and To Live and Die in L.A. (John Vukovich), among others. Blue Bloods airs Fridays at 10pm on CBS, right after Hawaii Five-0.
