In the MacGyver episode “Mardi Gras Beads + Chair,” the team traveled to New Orleans to find a woman named Dixie who was posing as the wife of one of Jack’s (George Eads) old CIA aliases. Now Dixie (her real name is Dawn) is working for the CIA. In the April 6 MacGyver episode “Benjamin Franklin + Grey Duffle,” Mac (Lucas Till) and the team investigate the suspicious death of Dawn’s CIA supervisor.
Dawn is portrayed by Amy Smart. She’s known for her roles on Justified (Allison), Shameless (Jasmine Hollander), and Felicity (Ruby), among others. Smart is also recognized for her roles in the films Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds (Jamie Palamino, see link above), Road Trip (Beth), The Butterfly Effect with Ashton Kutcher (Kayleigh), and Starship Troopers (Pilot Cadet Stack Lumbreiser). MacGyver airs Fridays at 8pm on CBS, right before Hawaii Five-0.
