In the Mom episode “Spaghetti Sauce and a Dumpster Fire,” while Bonnie (Allison Janney) tries to be a supportive friend, her daughter Christy (Anna Faris) witnesses her sponsor Marjorie (Mimi Kennedy) having a major meltdown in a grocery store. The incident has Christy interviewing a new sponsor. Her name is Nora. She is not a sweet Mother Goose kind of woman that Christy initially thought she wanted.
Nora is portrayed by Yvette Nicole Brown. She’s known for her roles on Mayor (the Mayor’s mom Dina), The Odd Couple (Matthew Perry’s colleague Dani), Community (Shirley Bennett), Drake & Josh (Helen Ophelia Duwall), and The Big House with Kevin Hart (Eartha), among others.
