In the Station 19 episode “Let It Burn,” the firehouse and police department respond to a strip mall fire. Meanwhile, Andy (Jaina Lee Ortiz, Rosewood) visits her father Captain Pruitt Herrera, who’s in the hospital with cancer. As his health weakens, doctor Miranda Bailey (from Grey’s Anatomy) suggests they try a new treatment as a last resort. The conversation leads to a heated argument between Andy and her father.
Andy’s father Captain Pruitt is portrayed by Miguel Sandoval. He’s known for his roles on Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency (Col. Scott Riggins), Bad Judge (Judge Hernandez), Entourage (Carlos), Medium (Alison DuBois’ boss D.A. Manuel Devalos), Alias (Anthony Russek), Seinfeld (Marcelino), and L.A. Firefighters (Arson Investigator Bernie Ramirez), among others. Station 19 airs Thursdays at 9pm on ABC, right after Grey’s Anatomy.
