In The Rap Game episode “The Press Got U Stressed,” music producer Jermaine Dupri lines up a press tour for the young rappers. He says this final test “is about knowing who you are and how to tell that to the press.” JD sets up an interview with singer/dancer Teyana Taylor. Her studio debut, VII, is a throwback to ’90s R&B just like her new business. Teyana is opening up a 90s-themed nail salon in Harlem. (Think B.A.P.S. and Flo Jo, inspirational photos below.) The salon is called Junie Bee Nails, named after Teyana’s daughter, and she expects it’ll open by the end of the month. (Taylor is married to NBA star Iman Shumpert.)

Back to the rappers: During a mock press conference, Jordan is asked “what audience are you trying to appeal to?” and he stumbles. Ricci Bitti doesn’t give a smooth reply either. JD is not impressed. “Who’s going to bring it? Who’s going to fold under pressure?” You’ll have to tune in to find out. The Rap Game airs Fridays at 10pm on Lifetime.
