On the two-hour Sister Wives episode “PolygaMexicamist Wedding,” 400 guests gather for the wedding of Mykelti Brown and Tony Padron. When the young couple announced their engagement last season, not everyone was instantly excited. Mykelti’s parents, Kody and Christine Brown, thought they were rushing into marriage. Mykelti wanted to get married two months after her sister Maddie. At the time, Christine said Mykelti’s wedding “won’t be that great” with so little time to prepare. While some of the bumps in the road between Tony and Mykelti and her parents have been smoothed over, the preparation for Mykelti’s wedding has been… interesting. Tony has been vocal with his opinions right down to the 4000 tacos served at the wedding. Many Sister Wives fans including Ashley Ralston say “The family is wasting a lot of money” on the wedding.

Mykelti’s winter wedding is being inevitably compared to Maddie’s wedding to Caleb. Andrea Bangs writes, “Maddie and Caleb had a way better wedding and are a much more adorable, loving, caring couple.” Neither Caleb nor Tony wore a tuxedo, but at least the Father of the Bride wasn’t 30 minutes late to Maddie’s wedding. Fans are pretty clear that one way Mykelti has outdone Maddie wedding-wise is in the major “on air time and attention” Mykelti has received this season. This isn’t the last Sister Wives wedding to be compared to Maddie’s. Kody and Christine’s daughter Aspyn is next to walk down the aisle! She promises a Scottish-themed event. Sister Wives airs Sundays at 8pm on TLC.
