On the Chicago P.D. episode “Anthem,” the team investigates when a basketball star is found dead after an anti-police rally. “We need to solve this murder before it sparks a race riot,” Lt. Denny Woods (Mykelti Williamson) warns his former partner Hank Voight (Jason Beghe). And then things get really complicated when Woods’ daughter Brianna “gets tangled up in the case.”
Brianna is portrayed by guest star Alexa Adderley. The young actress from Austin, Texas got her big break when she was selected for the CBS Drama Diversity Casting Initiative in January 2017. The initiative is designed to “provide opportunities for underrepresented talent across the country.” Adderley is one of 12 actors chosen out of 10,000 to participate in the CBS program. She most recently appeared in an episode of CBS’s Bull. Chicago P.D. airs Wednesdays at 10pm on NBC, right after Law & Order: SVU.
