In the Hallmark movie Frozen in Love, two young professionals are at a crossroads. Bookstore owner Mary Campbell (Rachel Leigh Cook) is struggling to keep her store doors open and professional hockey player Adam Clayborne needs to shed his “bad boy” image or else. What they have in common is a publicist who suggests that they work together. Adam can draw in a crowd at the bookstore while benefiting from the positive wholesome press. And yes, they fall in love.
Adam is portrayed by Niall Matter. The Canadian-born actor is known for his roles on When Calls the Heart (Shane Cantrell), Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce (Joaquin), Remedy (Peter Cutler), Arctic Air (Tag Cummins), Eureka (Zane Donovan), 90210 (Greg), and Melrose Place (Rick Paxton), among others. Matter is also recognized for his role as Mothman in the 2009 film Watchmen. Matter will appear next on the big screen with Olivia Munn in the 2018 remake of the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger sci-fi film Predator. Frozen in Love premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, January 13 at 9pm.
