On the 22nd season of The Bachelor, Arie Luyendyk, Jr. is the bachelor. On the season premiere, as per the reality TV show tradition, the 36-year-old meets all of the women, one-by-one, who will vie for his love and affection on national TV. Rebekah, a nanny from Fresno, California, makes a great first impression as she drives up to the mansion in a red Ford Mustang convertible (with the top down). The gorgeous Rebekah also dares to wear her brunette hair in a short pixie style (over the ears), which is a rarity on The Bachelor.
When Rebekah invites Arie to sit in the car with her, she asks him what makes him excited to be alive. “Keep it simple,” she tells him with confidence. Arie stumbles a little and replies, “Excitement.” Rebekah asks with a little burst of laughter, “Excitement makes you excited?” He says yeah, and follows that up with “Adrenaline.” Rebekah says, “I’m a rock climber, so I get it.” He also mentions pizza and good company. When she was asked what she’s most afraid of, Rebekah responded: “Losing my support system or being trapped in an unfulfilling life.” (Bibiana’s greatest fear is sharks.) Does anyone else think Rebekah is too cute and smart for Arie? The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
