In the MacGyver episode “Packing Peanuts + Fire,” in order to tempt a stolen art dealer to come out of hiding, Mac (Lucas Till) and Jack (George Eads) steal a priceless modern painting. While they get conned out of the painting, Riley (Tristin Mays) gets a visit from her estranged father Elwood who wants to start over with Riley. Matty (Meredith Eaton) doesn’t trust him so she surprises him with a visit.
Riley’s estranged father Elwood is portrayed by Billy Baldwin (the third of four famous Baldwin brothers). Billy is known for his roles on Hit the Floor (Jackson Everett), Hot in Cleveland (Dane), Gossip Girl (William van der Woodsen), Hawaii Five-0 (Frank Delano), Parenthood (Gordon Flint), and Dirty Sexy Money (Senator Patrick Darling), among others. Billy is also recognized for his roles in Backdraft, and The Squid and the Whale. He’s married to Wilson Phillips singer Chynna Phillips. Fun fact: Billy made his acting debut in the 1989 TV movie The Preppie Murder (as murderer Robert Chambers). MacGyver airs Fridays at 8pm on CBS.
