Sara Moylan is a lot of things. She’s a former beauty queen (Miss Michigan Teen USA, Mrs. Michigan America), a wife, a mother (of four daughters!), and an entrepreneur. Moylan is the inventor of SheFit, a line of high impact sports bras that are designed with adjustable straps and zippers. Moylan and her husband and business partner Bob Moylan pitched the SheFit business on Shark Tank in January 2016. They made a deal with retail guru Daymond John — $250,000 in exchange for 33 percent equity. (The Moylans went into the Tank seeking $250k for 25 percent.)
After Shark Tank, the Moylans said they spoke with John’s team “almost daily.” They helped with sourcing and liaising with vendors and got the factory to speed up the manufacturing process. SheFit has also boosted its social media presence. Until November 20, the company is issuing 2 refunds for a purchased SheFit product every day via their “Defy Gravity” social media campaign. They’re essentially giving away two bras a day. All you have to do is post a photo or video of you in your SheFit on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram to enter. Tag @SheFit and add the hashtags #SupportTheGirls and #FreeBraFall to be entered to win a refund. New episodes of Shark Tank air Sundays at 9pm on ABC.
