On the Ride with Norman Reedus episode “California: Joshua Tree,” Reedus takes a ride from Los Angeles to Joshua Tree. Along the way in Southern California, Reedus visits friends including SFX and make-up expert Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead, Fearing the Walking Dead, Kill Bill). Hours before the episode airs, Reedus doesn’t post a reference to the 1987 U2 album Joshua Tree but instead reminds fans of Nirvana’s song “Negative Creep” from their 1989 album Bleach. (Reedus includes a fencing emoji, see post below.)
[Nirvana’s Bleach includes “Negative Creep”]
“Negative Creep” is the song Kurt Corbain wrote about himself. He claimed he always thought of himself as a negative person. A live performance of “Negative Creep” which was performed in 1992 at the Reading Festival in England was released on the live CD/DVD Live at Reading in 2009. Video below. Ride with Norman Reedus airs Mondays at 9pm on AMC.
