Former 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey competed on Season 25 of Dancing with the Stars, and against his wife Vanessa Lachey. While he was eliminated before Vanessa (and surely felt the competitive swagger of his brother Drew Lachey who won the Mirror Ball Trophy on Season 2), Lachey’s experience on the show was overall a positive one. So positive that Lachey wrote a ballad that was inspired by his journey on Dancing with the Stars. It’s called “Someone To Dance With” and he’s performing the song for the first time on the DWTS 25 finale on Tuesday, November 21 (9pm, ABC).

Lachey’s last solo album, Soundtrack of My Life, was released in 2014. It was a collection of cover versions that were featured on movie soundtracks including the Peter Gabriel song “In Your Eyes” (Say Anything…) and “Falling Slowly” from the 2007 film Once, which won the Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 80th Academy Awards.
