This Is Us star Justin Hartley looks like he was crafted in a Hollywood star 3D printer on the lot at Warner Brothers. Hartley looks so much like a heartthrob TV star that in his breakout role on NBC’s This Is Us, he actually plays the heartthrob TV star of a fictional show. The early dramatic arc of This Is Us had Hartley’s character Kevin Pearson trying to shake off his TV star-ness, refusing to take off his shirt for cheap thrills and objectify himself for the stargazing pleasure of others. But Kevin returns to his fictional TV personality, The Manny, because, well, because he’s a star. Just look at him. Thank goodness Hartley also has a helluva sense of humor. Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon will stare deep into Hartley’s eyes and find some laughter too on Tuesday’s show.
Hartley will be promoting This Is Us. But he’s also in theaters now in A Bad Moms Christmas, a holiday flick — and the kind of comic vehicle that needs a strapping, handsome man to help out with the bad part. Hartley does the trick. Hartley has acted in The Young and the Restless, Mistresses, Revenge, Smallville and Passions on his way to the top and to Fallon’s exclusive sofa. For all those hoping for their own Justin Hartley bad moms thing, bad news: Hartley’s newly married — to Chrishell Hartley (see below). This Is Us airs Tuesdays at 9pm on NBC.
