In the NCIS: New Orleans episode “Viral,” Forensic Agent Sebastian Lund (Rob Kerkovich) gets involved in a foot chase in the French Quarter which goes terribly wrong. Sebastian thinks he’s following fugitive Hans Obma (Hans Mattis) but when led down a dark alley, Sebastian draws his gun on a man who turns out not to be Hans. Zahra Taylor, the new Mayor of New Orleans, puts Sebastian on administrative leave while Pride (Scott Bakula) and the team try to clear Sebastian’s name.
Mayor Taylor is portrayed by Amanda Warren. She’s known for her roles on House of Cards (Jenna Perkins), Taken (Marie Salt), This Is Us (Dorothy Hill), The Leftovers (Lucy Warburton), The Closer (DDA Claire Baldwin), and Law & Order: Criminal Intent (CSU Tech), among others. Warren will appear next on the big screen in the forthcoming legal thriller Roman J. Israel, Esq. starring Denzel Washington. NCIS: New Orleans airs Tuesdays at 10pm on CBS, right after Bull.
