In the TV movie Psycho In-Law, Tina (Katie Leclerc) is engaged to Brock (Mike Faiola) who lost his first wife in a tragic accident two years ago. He’s been raising his 8-year-old daughter Harper with the help of his former mother-in-law Joyce. When Tina comes into their lives, Grandma Joyce feels pushed out. She doesn’t react well to the new woman in Brock and Harper’s lives.
Joyce is portrayed by Catherine Dyer. As an actress she’s known for her TV roles on Netflix’s Stranger Things (Agent Connie Frazier) and Army Wives (Lt. Col. Margaret Riley), and in the films Dirty Grandpa (Brooke Kelly) and The Blind Side (Mrs. Smith) – see link above, among others. Dyer’s documentary work with Biography earned her an Emmy Award nomination in 2003. Psycho In-Law premieres on Lifetime on Sunday, October 15 at 8pm.
