On The Gifted episode ‘rX,’ Caitlin (Amy Acker) and Eclipse (Sean Teale) are desperate to find a serum to help Blink (Jamie Chung) who’s gone into a state of shock after exerting her powers. Meanwhile, Polaris, who is deemed unstable due to her bipolar disorder diagnosis, struggles to live in Lakewood Jail as an inmate.
Polaris is portrayed by Emma Dumont. The 22-year-old actor, model and dancer is known for her roles on Pretty Little Liars (Katherine Daly), The Magicians (The White Lady), Aquarius (Emma Karn aka Cherry), and Bunheads (ballet dancer Melanie Segal), among others. She also appeared in the 2014 films Inherent Vice (Zinnia) and Starving in Suburbia (Kayden). Fun fact: Dumont is also a member of Mensa, the society of high IQ geniuses. The Gifted airs Mondays at 9pm on FOX.
