In the NCIS episode “Exit Strategy,” while Agent Nick Torres’s (Wilmer Valderrama) partner from the Metro P.D. disappears during their investigation, Ducky (David McCallum) is presented with an intriguing proposal from his friend Cadence Darwin.
[Blakely was the lead actress in Rich Man, Poor Man]
Cadence is portrayed by Susan Blakely. The veteran actress has appeared on several TV shows throughout her career including the 1976 mini-series Rich Man, Poor Man as Julie Prescott, a role for which she won a Golden Globe. Blakely is also recognized for her roles in the films The Towering Inferno (Patty) and The Way We Were (Judianne), among others. Fun fact: Blakely co-starred in the 2009 indie film To Comfort You, opposite NCIS star Pauley Perrette (Abby) who plays her HIV positive lesbian daughter. Both actresses won the Best Actress Performance Awards at the 2010 Beverly Hills Film Festival (video below). NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8pm on CBS.
