One of the 13 celebrities competing on Dancing with the Stars, Season 25 is former NFL football player Terrell “T.O.” Owens. The 43-year-old, 6’3″ wide receiver who holds lots of NFL records including his 15,934 career receiving yards (ranked second in NFL history) has been paired with DWTS veteran pro dancer Cheryl Burke, who also likes to win. Burke was the first female pro dancer on DWTS to win the Mirror Ball Trophy (Season 2 with 98 Degrees boy-band member Drew Lachey), and the first to win twice, consecutively. She and ex-NFL player Emmitt Smith won Season 3.
[Former NFL/DWTS star Jerry Rice wrote the introduction to Owens’ fitness book]
T.O. knows how lucky he is to be paired with Burke. A few days before their first performance together on Dancing with the Stars, he gave her a shout-out on Instagram. And while doing so, revealed that he used to “dance around town dancing in Michael Jackson contests.” Now that’s footage both NFL and DWTS fans would like to see! Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
R.I.P. MICHAEL JACKSON!
