On the Teen Mom 2 episode ‘Swiping and Griping,’ Kailyn Lowry (who is 6-months pregnant with her third child) learns that her ex Jo wants 50/50 custody of their son Isaac (Kailyn’s eldest). At Isaac’s karate lesson, Kailyn tells her friend Lindsay that Jo came to her a few days before she was served with the papers, with a mock-up paper. According to Kailyn, Jo said he didn’t really file yet but just came over to talk to her about it. Lindsay’s reaction is, “So, he lied?” Kailyn says, “I guess,” and then claims that Jo “didn’t have a reason for why he even wanted to file.” Kailyn and Lindsay assess that Jo’s request “came out of nowhere.” Kailyn agrees with Lindsay that “someone else is fueling” Jo to get 50/50 custody.
In February, 2paragraphs wrote about the conversation Jo and his fiancée Vee had at home with the kids. (Vee is the mother of Isaac’s second child, Vivi.) At the time, Jo was spending more time with Isaac as Kailyn was going through a divorce with Javi (father of Kailyn’s second child, Lincoln). And at the time, Vee asks Jo if he was thinking about getting 50/50 custody of Isaac. Jo said then, “I just don’t think it’s a good time to do that.” But, a lot has changed since then, including Kailyn’s third pregnancy. Teen Mom 2 airs Mondays at 9pm on MTV.
