In the Season 3 premiere episode of Ballers, “Seeds of Expansion”, while Ricky (John David Washington) considers fatherhood, Spencer (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) looks to acquire new high-profile clients to pay off his debts. Spencer’s efforts come to an abrupt end when Mr. Anderson (Richard Schiff) decides they should partner with Las Vegas casino magnate Wayne Hastings, Jr.
Hastings is portrayed by actor Steve Guttenberg. The New York native is best known from 1980s films including Diner, Police Academy, Cocoon, Short Circuit, and Three Men and a Baby. Most recently, Guttenberg appeared in Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens on Syfy and Sons of Liberty on The History Channel, among others. Ballers airs Sundays at 10pm on HBO.
