In the OutDaughtered episode “Good Quints Gone Bad,” while Danielle and Adam Busby try to discipline their quintuplet daughters as they enter the “terrible twos,” Danielle worries about her mother and her husband. Danielle’s mother Mimi is slow to move into her new home, and Danielle senses that Adam isn’t feeling well. Danielle’s instincts are right: Adam has been struggling with postpartum depression (PPD). One in 10 men are diagnosed with it but “no one wants to talk about it,” says Adam.

Adam is using his OutDaughtered platform to talk about it. “If me talking about this helps any dads out there then it’s all worth it,” he wrote. Danielle supports her husband and wrote “it’s just shocking to hear what he has been going through.” Adam has been thanking his supporters online and says, “Just trying to break the stigma. It’s ok to not be ok.” Outdaughtered airs Tuesdays at 9pm on TLC.
It’s not fun to talk about, but if me talking about this helps any dads out there then it’s all worth it. #OutDAUGHTERED https://t.co/GnzY1IWf1u
