Actress Rashida Jones (Angela Tribeca, Parks and Recreation) is the host of the 76th Annual Peabody Awards. Televised from Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, the awards show honors “powerful, enlightening and invigorating stories in TV, radio and digital media.” 2016 has been a remarkable year for media particularly considering the fraught coverage of the presidential campaigns and election in November 2016.
It’s interesting to note that host Rashida Jones, who is not a Donald Trump supporter, stopped tweeting the day after Trump was elected President of the United States. Jones was very active on Election Day, (she tweets/retweeted more than 24 times). The good news is that Jones is still active on Instagram where she tends to post happy photos. The 76th Annual Peabody Awards will air June 2 at 9pm on PBS.
Every media outlet that obsessively covered the Clinton email non-story should be doing some serious soul-searching right now.
