In the Lifetime movie Escaping Dad, Erin’s life in suburbs seems idyllic but it isn’t. Her District Attorney husband Darren is emotionally and physically abusive and he’s involved with an illegal cartel in Mexico. After one horrific night, Erin takes proof of her husband’s involvement in the cartel and her two children (Amy, and Darren’s son Charlie) and skips town fast. Being the DA, Darren has a lot of pull. He puts out an “amber alert” and says his wife is mentally unstable.
Erin is portrayed by Sunny Mabrey. She’s appeared on several TV shows including Once Upon a Time as Glinda, and as Lisa Munsey on The Client List, among others. Mabrey is also recognized for her role as Tiffany in the 2006 film Snakes on a Plane with Samuel L. Jackson. Escaping Dad premieres on Lifetime on Sunday, May 21 at 8pm.
