Country singer Lauren Duski is one of the four finalists on Season 12 of The Voice. On Team Blake, Lauren is known for singing traditional country songs including Garth Brooks’ “The Dance” and Little Big Town’s “Better Man.” (She sang the latter against fellow Team Blake member Brennley Brown and won the Knockout Round.) Lauren sang “Better Man” with such conviction, it’s no surprise that Little Big Town has agreed to sing the song with Lauren during The Voice Live Finale (May 23, 8pm, NBC).
The breakup song “Better Man” was written by country-turned-pop star Taylor Swift. According to LBT lead singer Karen Fairchild, Swift “thought of us because of the harmonies, and she’s never pitched a song to anyone before and the moment that we heard it we were like, ‘Man, that is a song that we’re gonna cut.'”
