Maisie Williams is the first one to hear it, but Ed Sheeran’s upcoming star turn on Game of Thrones (filmed in November) will make certain everyone hears Sheeran croon a new tune. Sheeran says he had fun on the set and revealed one of his lines. Or more accurately his line tipped off a big reveal about the song. (Then again, why have Ed Sheeran guest and not give him a song?) In Sheeran’s scene “with Maisie” he says “I sing a song.. and she goes ‘oh that’s a nice song’ and I go ‘it’s a new one.’ ”
Sheeran also says he’s starring in and doing the soundtrack for a new film — producing too — but he doesn’t give away the name. That movie is a “long way in the future.” Game of Thrones, for anyone living under a rock, is on HBO.
