In the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode ‘The Newsroom’, an attractive blonde news anchor named Heidi Sorenson makes an on-air disclosure of rape against her boss Harold Coyle (guest star Christopher McDonald). Turns out, Heidi isn’t the only woman at work who has filed a complaint against the powerful boss.
Heidi Sorenson is portrayed by Bonnie Somerville. She’s known for her roles on Code Black (Dr. Christa Lorenson), Golden Boy (Detective Deb McKenzie), Cashmere Mafia (Caitlin Dowd), Kitchen Confidential (Mimi), The O.C. (Rachel Hoffman), Friends (Ross’ girlfriend Mona), and Grosse Pointe (Courtney Scott), among others. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit airs Wednesdays at 9pm on NBC.
