In the second episode of Chicago Justice, ‘Uncertainty Principle’, the arrest and death of a young man is investigated by the State’s Attorney. Investigator Laura Nagel is on the case. When Chicago P.D.’s Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) is charged with murder, he’s defended by Paul Robinette (Richard Brooks reprises his Law & Order role).
Laura Nagel is portrayed by Joelle Carter. She’s known for her roles on Scandal (Vanessa Moss), Justified (Ava Crowder), and in the films High Fidelity (Penny Hardwick) and American Pie 2 (Natalie), among others. Fun fact: Carter’s first job was on an episode of Law & Order in 1996. Chicago Justice airs Sundays at 9pm on NBC.
