In The Simpsons episode ‘Kamp Krustier’, while Bart and Lisa were away at camp, Homer and Marge enjoyed their time together, romantically. But a traumatic incident at Kamp Krustier sent the kids home early. “Without sex to distract him, Homer becomes a more productive worker and caring husband, but Marge misses the old Homer.” The couple end up talking with fictional versions of the famous real life sex experts, Masters and Johnson. (According to the Kinsey Institute, Masters and Johnson “pioneered research into the understanding human sexual response… through the direct observation of anatomical and physiological sexual responses of human subjects.” Yup, they watched.)
The voices of Masters and Johnson are provided by “Masters of Sex” stars Lizzy Caplan (Virginia Johnson) and Michael Sheen (William Masters). The series finale of Masters of Sex aired in November 2016. The Simpsons airs Sundays at 8pm on FOX.
