Singer Hunter Plake of Baton Rouge, Louisiana is auditioning on The Voice, Season 12. It’s been a busy, crazy year for the 21-year-old. In June, he got married to his wife Bethany. Two months after their happy day, their home and car were wiped away by the catastrophic flooding in Louisiana in August 2016. When they relocated to Lafayette, Plake was called to try-out for The Voice.
When Plake isn’t working as a worship leader at Crossroads Church, he’s making music with his brother Dakota – they have an indie pop band called Plake. Before getting married, and before the flooding, Hunter recorded Yellow, a Coldplay cover (video below). The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
