The new Bravo reality show Sweet Home Oklahoma is about three die-hard friends living in Oklahoma City. They want the rest of the world to know that not everyone who lives in Oklahoma is a meat-eating, Christian Republican (see photo below). One of the three friends is interior designer Jennifer Welch. She grew up on an Oklahoma ranch where her father raised and trained racing pigeons. According to her Bravo profile, Jennifer “can still catch a pigeon with her bare hands.”
Jennifer is referred to as The Sheriff on the show — she likes to and tends to take charge of situations. One situation she couldn’t control was her husband Josh Welch. During their marriage, the criminal defense attorney struggled with addiction. He’s now over a year-and-a-half sober and is trying to work things out with Jennifer, the mother of his two children, Dylan (14) and Roman (10). Sweet Home Oklahoma airs Mondays at 10pm on Bravo.
