My 600-lb Life tells the story of 44-year-old Tracey Matthews of Lorain, Ohio, who carries most of her weight (605 lbs.) in her legs. Her lymphedema is so severe that her swollen legs are misshaped and her feet are barely visible. In order to meet with gastric bypass surgeon Dr. Nowzaradan in Houston, Tracey needs to endure a 20-hour car ride in the back seat. Luckily, Tracey’s mother Karen and her husband Anthony are traveling with her.
Tracey says she has been using food for comfort since “witnessing domestic abuse first-hand.” She also says she gained more than 100-lbs. with each pregnancy. My 600-lb Life airs Wednesdays at 8pm on TLC.
