On The Voice Season 12 coach Adam Levine brings in his Grammy and Oscar winning friend John Legend to help get Team Adam ready for the first Battle Round. Artists Johnny Hayes and Julien Martinez have been paired and given the fun song “Hard to Handle” originally performed by Otis Redding and later The Black Crows. During rehearsal, Adam gets on the drums which provokes Johnny to say in awe: “It kinda felt like we were in a band together.” Later, John Legend tells Julien, “I need you to look like you’re having more fun.” Legend points to Johnny, “He’s having more fun than you right now.”
When it comes time to perform, Johnny Hayes once again proves that he’s having more fun. During their Battle performance, Johnny bops across the stage and playfully drapes his arm around Julien which makes Alicia Keys crack up. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
