One of the most serious musicians/vocalists on The Voice Season 12 is Caroline Sky. She’s only 16 years old but she’s been pursuing her music career for years. At the age of 9 she was accepted into the prestigious San Francisco Girls Chorus – where she became one of the youngest members ever at the company’s top level. Caroline has also been selected for appearances with the San Francisco Opera.
[Left: Joan Baez celebrated her 75th birthday by singing duets with Jackson Brown, Indigo Girls, Judy Collins, among others]
Since becoming a teenager, Caroline has sung with Joan Baez (John Lennon’s “Imagine”, see below), received a songwriting mentorship with Bob Weir (Grateful Dead) and Bonnie Hayes (Bonnie Raitt’s “Have a Heart”). If you’re not impressed with that resume, just listen to her sing on The Voice, which airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
