Avocados from Mexico chose comedian Jon Lovitz to star in its Super Bowl LI ad. Lovitz, dressed in a white turtleneck, plays a hypnotist who suggests that “everyone loves guacamole” and should eat more avocados (from Mexico).
Jon Lovitz is known for his roles on the TV shows The New Celebrity Apprentice (with Arnold Schwarzenegger), New Girl (Rabbit Feiglin), Mr. Box Office (Bobby Gold), Hot in Cleveland (Artie), Las Vegas (Fred Puterbaugh), and of course Saturday Night Live (Saturday Night Live — The Best of Jon Lovitz). Lovitz is also recognized for his appearances in fellow SNL alum Adam Sandler films including The Ridiculous 6 (Grant), Little Nicky (Peeper), and The Wedding Singer (Jimmie Moore), among others. If you ask Lovitz what he’s doing after the Super Bowl, he’ll tell you, “I’m going to Vegas!” Lovitz the guacamole-loving hypnotist is currently performing the 90-minute show “Reunited” with SNL alum Dana Carvey in Las Vegas at the Foundry.
