On The Rap Game episode ‘Poncho vs. Dashiki’, celeb stylist April Roomet and rapper Jeezy help the young rappers discover their unique styles/looks. The one and only white rapper of the group, Tally, continues to struggle with everyone comparing her to Australian-born rapper Iggy Azalea. When it’s suggested that Tally cut her hair to separate her look from Iggy Azalea, the 17-year-old says, “I want to play around with the braid.” Last time Tally wore her long blonde hair in braids for a performance, supposedly no one compared her to Iggy. “Even though it may not be cutting my hair, I feel like my new look will translate that I’m different from Iggy.”
When Tally shows up for a photo shoot with her new look, JD says, “I’m really disappointed that Tally didn’t cut her hair.” He’s not convinced a braid will make people stop asking ‘Is that Iggy’? Sure enough, while on the shoot — on the city street, someone yells “Iggy!” The Rap Game airs Fridays at 10pm on Lifetime.
