In the season premiere of Long Island Medium, it’s a series of star-studded spiritual events. Theresa Caputo visits with fellow Long Island native, Rosie O’Donnell (Rosie is from Commack). When the two women sit down, Theresa connects with Rosie’s deceased parents, Roseann and Edward O’Donnell. Rosie’s mother died of breast cancer when she was 11. Her father, an immigrant from Ireland, died from cancer in 2015 at the age of 81. Rosie has said in past interviews that her father emotionally distanced himself from his kids (Rosie is one in five) after his wife died.
On the show, Theresa tells Rosie: “Your father wants to take this opportunity to say that he’s sorry.” She adds, “He said ‘I did the best that I could’.” Long Island Medium airs Sundays at 8pm on TLC.
