In The Rap Game episode ‘We Have A Dream’, Jermaine Dupri takes his young rappers to meet Rev. Bernice A. King, daughter of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Jermaine hopes they’ll be inspired to write a 12-bar verse about their dream which they’ll perform live on stage with a choir behind them at The People’s Choice Sweet Auburn music festival. During rehearsals, Jermaine was impressed with 15-year-old Deetranada’s bars (she dreams of a Range Rover with a house with a flexible gate) so he put Deetranada on stage first. But when she got up there, “She was a little too hyped,” says Jermaine. She loses her whole rhyme and on the first bar. When Dee walks off stage she says, “I’m just real real mad at myself.”
If Dee needs some cheering up, she should visit The Rap Game Facebook page, because there, based on the comments, Dee is the favorite to win Season 3. See below. The Rap Game airs Fridays at 10pm on Lifetime.
