In the Season 4 premiere episode of When Calls the Heart, Christmas is in jeopardy. When a train derailment causes a delay in supplies, Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) tries to convince everyone that everything they need is right there in Hope Valley. Luckily, a mysterious peddler arrives in town and doesn’t give everyone what they want but what they need. Abigail Stanton (Lori Loughlin) makes sure to thank the peddler, Mr. Bailey. “You’ve been a real angel,” she tells the old man.
The peddler is portrayed by Terence Kelly. The Canadian-born actor is known for his roles on Bates Motel (Dickie Bolton), and in the films Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Grandpa), Watchmen (General West), The Exorcism of Emily Rose (Medical Examiner), and Walking Tall with Dwayne The Rock Johnson (Judge L. Powell), among others. It’s difficult to believe but imdb lists Kelly’s age as 94! When Call the Heart airs Sundays at 8pm on Hallmark Channel.
