In the 2-hour season finale episode of Chicago P.D., after the team investigates the death of a witness in a rape-and-murder case, they’re on high alert when a highly trained killer targets the Chicago Police Department. A number of cops are hit and sent to Gaffney Chicago Medical Center where Sharon Goodwin is Chief of Services.
Sharon Goodwin is portrayed by S. Epatha Merkerson. She’s known for her role as Goodwin on Chicago Med and Chicago Fire, and for her role as Lt. Anita Van Buren on Law & Order. Fun fact: Merkeron was also on Pee-wee’s Playhouse (Reba the mail woman) and she made her acting debut in the 1986 Spike Lee movie She’s Gotta Have It (Doctor Jamison). Chicago P.D. airs Wednesdays at 9pm on NBC.
