In the Conviction episode ‘#StayWoke’, after a young African American boy is shot by a white cop, Hayes (Hayley Atwell) and Maxine (Merrin Dungey) look into the case of Porscha Williams, an African American civil rights activist who is serving time for killing a white cop at a race quality rally five years ago.
Porscha Williams is portrayed by Susan Heyward. She’s known for her roles on Sony Playstation’s first original series Powers (Detective Deena Pilgrim), HBO’s Vinyl (Cece), and FOX’s The Following with Kevin Bacon (Hannah), among others. Conviction airs Mondays at 10pm on ABC.
